Version: 1.0

---

**CONCEPT SUMMARY**
Chain Chase is a team sprint game where participants link hands or flags to form a physical chain while tagging and capturing opponents. Players must maintain their chain while navigating the field and pursuing targets.

---

**REQUIRED EQUIPMENT**

- Soft flag belts or hand-loop connectors
- Cones or chalk to mark boundary zones
- Colored jerseys
- 2–4 referees
- Whistle and timekeeper

---

**FIELD LAYOUT**

- Rectangular or circular area with a center “neutral zone”
- Two team base zones on opposite sides
- Tag zone areas and penalty boxes

---

**PLAYER ROLES**

- 5–10 players per team
- “Chain Leaders” guide direction
- “Floaters” (optional) act as distractions outside the chain

---

**GAME OBJECTIVE**

Work together as a chain to tag members of the opposing team while avoiding being broken or penalized. Tagged players are sent to the penalty box unless rescued by a team chain.

---

**BASIC RULES**

1. A legal chain requires 3+ linked players.
2. Chains can only tag when fully connected.
3. If a chain breaks, tagging is invalid.
4. Tagged players must go to the penalty box.
5. Chains can "rescue" their own team’s players by tagging the box.
6. The team with the fewest players in penalty at game end wins.
7. Games typically last 10 minutes per round.

---

**VARIATIONS / SCALING IDEAS**

- **Mega Chain Mode**: Merge both teams into one mega chain and chase time-activated targets
- **Flash Rescue**: Only one chance per match to perform a mass rescue
- **Last Link Standing**: Final minutes require chains to shrink to 2 people

---

**STAT TRACKING SUGGESTIONS**

- Tags completed
- Chains broken
- Rescues performed
- Time spent in penalty box

---

**NOTES**
Chain Chase builds unity, speed, and awareness. Best used in school fields, youth programs, and summer camps. Promotes cooperation and quick thinking.
